A large asset in hunting is being able to track. In tracking animal poop or “droppings” and their freshness indicate how recently the animal was there or even what type of animal. In The Hunger Games, not once during the extended time period those kids are hunting each other do any of them leave any “droppings”. It’s clearly not the biggest arena, in reality a lot of people would have been killed while pooping or from people being able to smell out their campsite. I guess it wouldn’t matter for the group of agro douches that banded together, but Catniss and the tiny one would have been taken down quickly by anyone with a nose and eyes. Especially after all that rich food at the Capitol, fluffing air biscuits could have meant death.
